The Positive Transformation Of Oswego - Part 3
Old Man Winter and the snow in Oswego is always a topic of discussion, and while it may have some longing for summer sunsets by the Lake, there is a great range of wintertime activities to explore once the snow begins to fly!
With an average of 141 inches of snow each winter there are plenty of ways to turn chills, to thrills as the flakes and mercury drops. Put on some snowshoes and check out the trails at SUNY Oswego’s Rice Creek Field Station.
Just to the east is Tug Hill and some 925 miles of snowmobile trails; The Rodman-Barnes Corners system offers 10 miles of cross-country ski trails lined with pine and spruce trees; and any local hill becomes a magnet for young daredevils seeking speed on their sleds.
There are plenty of fun ways to play in the snow in Oswego, and we’d love to hear some of your favorite ways to step outside and keep the winter blues at bay!
